Lauren Yoon; (violin)
2020 NCE Oustanding Young Artist Achievement Award Second Prize winner, Lauren Yoon, age 15, is student of Ronald Mutchnik, she has participated in several competitions winning first place in the Spring Plus Music Festival in 2016, second place in the BSYO Concerto Competition in 2017, co-first prize winner in the 2017 Asian American Competition and second place in the 2018 Gaithersburg Young Artist Competition. She was named the winner in Columbia Orchestra’s 2019 Young Artist Competition Junior String Division, giving her the opportunity to perform with the group at its spring concert. When not playing violin, Lauren enjoys reading, drawing and listening to music.
